Cornerstone Adult Day Habilitation and Vocational Training Program

The goal of our ADS program is to provide an environment that allows participants to meet their needs of continual learning, to promote health and wellness through physical activities and nutrition education, socialization and community inclusion, volunteering, and the opportunity to create useful products. The goal of our VT program is to assist individuals in gaining and strengthening skills needed in today’s workforce. We want to help individuals become a part of the competitive workforce as well as instrumental parts of their respective communities.

We are assisting our participants with developing a line of useful products that can be sold at craft shows, festivals, fairs, and in our online store that is set to open 2014.  The products are created at our Adult Day Habilitation Center by our individuals; with some guidance and a little assistance, our participants have been creating a fantastic line of scented candles, body lotions, bar soaps, laundry soap, and jewelry pieces. Sales from these products will help us to provide day trips and community activities for our participants. It is our goal to raise funds so that these events are provided at no cost to the participants.

Additionally, our goals also include being able to host events  through out the year that are open to any person with ID/DD, regardless of whom provides their direct care services, having the ability to adopt a family in need during the Christmas season, help bring awareness to disabilities and the services that are available.
